The Restaurant Startup
Boot Camp

Led by Local First Arizona’s Director of Food Programs Chef Gabe, is a 4-week course designed to help scale a business from idea to marketplace.

Through discussions with industry experts and government officials participants gain the tools necessary to be successful with their startup food business.

Who is this Boot Camp for?

Food entrepreneurs interested in starting a business are invited to join Local First Arizona’s 4-week Restaurant Startup Boot Camp to help jump-start their careers and grow their business without the cost and liability in equipping, managing and maintaining your own commercial facility.

Why should I join this Boot Camp?

This is the first step in incubating a food start-up through Local First Arizona, this signature program provides food safety classes in addition to education on business planning, purchasing, and how to manage the day to day operations.

About the Shared Commercial Kitchen Space

Through a partnership with the Arizona Western College Culinary Arts Department, participants in the program will have the opportunity to learn about and use this fully equipped shared commercial kitchen space allowing you to launch the new phase of your food business without the typical large scale investment associated with building a full commercial kitchen.


Our Goal of this Commercial Kitchen Program is to assist culinary professionals realize their dream. By providing a low-cost, full-service kitchen space, we eliminate the need for small businesses to take on the debt of purchasing expensive equipment or signing a long-term lease. Instead, culinary entrepreneurs can focus on building a sustainable and profitable business.
